For those looking for an unspoiled island destination, the Grenadines offer a selection of islands, with each offering its own unique charm.

This collection of islands enjoys tropical temperatures which hover around 86 degrees, and the Easterly Tradewinds make them a perfect sailing destination. Visitors enjoy stunning beach views, snorkeling, rainforests, and volcanoes with the sunshine.

Grenadines Sailing Tour

Sunsation Tours offers a full-day sailing tour of the Grenadines aboard a traditional West Indian Schooner which was used by Disney in “Pirates of the Caribbean.” This tour is a great way to visit the idyllic island beaches, enjoy snorkeling and have breakfast, lunch, and drinks provided for the day.

Islands of the Grenadines

Bequia: This friendly Caribbean island is just over 7 square miles and though relaxed, offers an international flair perfect for honeymooners, beach lovers, and sailing enthusiasts. Walk the white sand beaches, visit sheltered bays, or sit back at one of the quality hotels or villas and sip a drink as you look out at the azure waters.

Mustique: Mustique is a small island only 2.20 square miles but while it may be small, it knows how to serve up elegance and luxury in a big way. Stay at the world-famous Cotton House, enjoy the night life at Basil’s Bar, or just relax in absolute serenity on a deserted beach.

This island destination won the Travel Channel’s Best Exotic Beach Award 2013.

Canouan: Canouan is a little bigger than Mustique but not by much. This island is almost 3 square miles and features island life that blends luxury and elegance with natural beauty.

Canouan is known for the Canouan Resort and Trump International Golf Club, but for those who are looking for more natural attractions, this island boasts one of the Caribbean’s longest barrier reefs, along with turquoises waters and white sand beaches.

Tobago Cays: This marine reserve is made up of a small cluster of 5 uninhabited cays that add up to about 62 acres in all.

This destination is an ideal yachting anchorage, a paradise for beachcombers, and perfect for scuba divers too with coral reefs, brightly colored tropical fish, and green turtles in the clear water. This island was one of the film locations for “Pirates of the Carribean.”

Union Island: Union Island is 3.5 square miles and makes a charming destination for those who want to explore the beauty of this region. Bask in the sun, hike, scuba dive, or sail, Union Island’s unsophisticated, friendly atmosphere takes you off the beaten track.

Petit Saint Vincent

The Grenadines also includes private islands where guests can enjoy private resort life in a tropical hideaway amid powder-white beaches such as the Petit St. Vincent Resort. If you’re looking for a beach escape, the Grenadines has much to offer.
