Hershey, PA is known for chocolate, but it is also an ideal destination for families who enjoy golf. That’s right, those who stay at the Hershey Resort not only enjoy its theme park, but several different golf courses.

Spring Creek Golf Course

The Spring Creek Golf Course is a 9-hole course designed for kids. In fact, back in 1932 when it was designed by Maurice McCarthy it was called the Juvenile Country Club. It was the first golf course in the nation to welcome golfers under the age of 18.

The course is newly renovated and is now a par 3 course that stretches 2,200 yards. The course is lined with mature trees, lush greens, and has a natural creek meandering throughout the grounds. For those interested, the Spring Creek Golf Course offers a “Learn the Game” clinic, junior golf camps, as well as competitions.

Hershey Country Club, East and West Courses

The East and West Golf Courses at the Hershey Country Club are bird sanctuaries. The East course has several natural hazards, undulating fairways, and formidable greens. This course has been home to many PGA tournaments and most recently the Nationwide Tour’s Reese’s Cup Classic.

The West Course overlooks the town of Hershey. This par 73 course features tree-line fairways, lush greens, and hazards designed to challenge every golfer. This course has also hosted several LPGA and PGA tournaments.

Hershey Links

Hershey Links is the most challenging of the courses with natural and architectural elements that impact strategy. Golf through and around water features including ponds and creeks; pot bunkers; wide fairways; and multi-level greens amid peaceful sweeping vistas. The setting is a natural wildlife habitat and golfers will come across deer crossings as they play.

Family Golf Package

The Hershey Resort offers a Family Golf Package that includes deluxe accommodations, breakfast, and a round of golf per person, along with sunset admission to Hersheypark, and admission to Hershey Gardens and Museum.

Are the golf balls made of chocolate? The clubs? If I were a kid playing at Hershey Links, I’d expect a big bowl of Kisses waiting for me at every hole! Mmmm.
