Argonaut Hotel San Francisco

From the astronomer’s clock above the fireplace in the lobby, to the wooden plank floors, the nautical past of the Argonaut Hotel in San Francisco is evident in the décor.

Located at the corner of Jefferson and Hyde Streets in the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park at Fisherman’s Warf, the Argonaut is housed in the historic Haslett Building that served as a cannery back in 1909.

Nautical Styling Carries Over to Accommodations

Nautical styling and accents carry over to the Argonaut Hotel’s guestrooms and Fisherman’s Warf suites. Most of the rooms offer breathtaking views and feature boutique chic touches such as Frette linens, plush bathrobes, and complimentary Starbucks coffee and a daily paper.

Rooms are equipped with complimentary WiFi, 37″ flat screen TV/DVD players with Web TV access including on demand movies and Super Nintendo features.

For those traveling on business, rooms are also equipped with a work station complete with an Eames-style chair.

Dine at the Blue Mermaid Chowder House & Bar

There’s nothing like fresh seafood in San Francisco, and the Argonaut’s Blue Mermaid Chowder House & Bar offers it up at their popular restaurant on the Warf or, if you prefer, in a private, in-room setting.

Whether you order one of their six kinds of homemade chowder, steamed mussels, or other seafood, you know it’s fresh. Pair your meal with one of their wide variety of wines or microbrew beers, sit back, and enjoy.

Fitness and Spa Services

The Argonaut Hotel offers a 24/7 fully equipped fitness center featuring state-of-the-art equipment, yoga mats, and balance balls.

However, the Argonaut fitness team also takes advantage of their location and have developed innovative ways for guests to get in their cardio exercise outdoors. For instance, guests can take part in weekly fitness runs with the manager or rent a bike and explore local bike paths.

For those who prefer exercising privately, the Argonaut offers an in-room workout option complete with the yoga mat and instruction via TV. Once you’re done working out, feel free to reward yourself with in-room spa services like a massage. It the perfect way to cool down and relax.

This hotel is amazing. However, please note that it’s Fisherman’s Wharf, not warf.
