Cavallo Point is a 142-room, 4-star, luxury resort hotel in Sausalito, California. Accommodation at Cavallo Point comes in two distinct offerings: Historic Lodging or Contemporary Lodging. Located on the site of the former Fort Baker U.S. Military base, Cavallo Point offers beautifully restored historic buildings that were previously the officers’ residences. Perched on the hillside above Fort Baker is Cavallo Point’s contemporary modern hotel buildings, that combine environmentally-friendly design considerations with modern styling and architecture.

The Historic Lodging offers spacious two-bedroom, family-friendly suites, in three of the historic buildings. Restored to the highest standards, and featuring the finest amenities, including windows that open, cozy sitting areas and organic bedding. Many guest rooms and suites are dog friendly. The Historic Suites at Cavallo Point come with either Hillside or San Francisco views.

The Contemporary Lodging comes in Room and Suite options, many of which have sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco Bay. Housed in two-story buildings constructed to the highest standards of green architecture, each accommodation has a private entrance, cozy gas fireplace, panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, radiant heat floor, bamboo furnishings, and some have an individual patio or deck. Many guest rooms and suites are dog friendly.

Contemporary Two Queen Rooms feature modern design, two queen beds in one room, and inviting gas fireplace. Some rooms enjoy views of the San Francisco Bay or Golden Gate Bridge. Accommodating up to four persons in 450 square feet, this room is ideal for families with children or friends traveling together.

Contemporary King Rooms feature modern design, one king bed with organic linens, bamboo furnishings, inviting gas fireplace and a private deck. Most rooms feature views of either the San Francisco Bay and/or Golden Gate Bridge. More like a standard hotel room, while at the same time anything but, this lodging offers a spacious 350 square feet.

Contemporary Junior Suites feature modern design, one king bed, bamboo furnishings, gas fireplace, sitting area with daybed to read or relax, luxury amenities, and patio or deck with outdoor furnishings to savor the scenery. Most feature stunning views of the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge. Averaging 478 square feet, these spacious and secluded suites are perfect for romantic getaways.

Contemporary King Suites are Cavallo POint’s most exceptional accommodations, featuring stylish modern design. Most feature breathtaking views of the bay and Golden Gate Bridge. Offering 578 square feet with separate sleeping area and sitting area with daybed, each expansive suite is defined by a two-sided gas fireplace to enjoy from both spaces. Each has a king bed, double sinks, separate tub & shower, and spacious patio or deck to savor the view.

Dining at Cavallo Point is something a bit special.  Murray Circle, the hotel’s Michelin-star restaurant, is one of Northern California’s top culinary destinations. Known for delectable Bay Area cuisine, the freshest local ingredients and stunning Golden Gate Bridge views, a meal here is inspired.

Farley Bar, just like its namesake Farley, the popular San Francisco Chronicle comic-strip character created by the late Phil Frank, is a Bay Area favorite.
