If you can dress “to the nines,” why not vacation “to the nines?” That’s just what eco-friendly hotel the Nines promises. This LEED Silver-certified luxury hotel occupies the top nine floors of the famed Meier and Frank Building in downtown Portland.
Aside from the great amenities and service offered at this hotel, it also retains a boutique feel with its quirky decor and prominent showcasing of local art. It’s obvious that the Nines is proud of Portland, and wants to make Portland proud in turn.
Turquoise accents throughout the hotel make a bold statement, while the contemporary art in each room is just as eclectic and unique as the furniture choices. The hotel has 331 rooms and 13 suites, with the exterior rooms offering up amazing views of Portland and the interior rooms looking over the exquisite lobby area.
Guests won’t even have to leave the building for top-notch dining either. Choices include the modern steakhouse Urban Farmer, the rooftop restaurant Departure, and The Library, a bar where cocktails compete for attention with the floor-to-ceiling book walls courtesy of independent bookstore Powell’s Books.
