Accommodations

When you step through the doors of the Hotel Casa Santo Domingo, it’s like stepping through a portal to another place and time. This innovative Hotel and Museum features 128 guest rooms with exposed brick walls, rough-hewn timber ceiling beams, and are decorated with handmade textiles and Guatemalan fine art.

Some rooms offer a terrace, balcony, fireplace, Jacuzzi or sauna. While the rooms offer a rustic element, modern amenities include LCD TVs with cable, high speed Internet, and complementary conveniences like hair dryers, irons and ironing boards.

Museum Promenade

It’s not every hotel that can boast that it is also a museum. The Museums Promenade offers guests a cultural route to visit the museums housed in what was once the church and convent of Santo Domingo and Santo Tomás de Aquino (Saint Thomas Aquinas) College. During the time of the Spanish domination these places were one.

For those looking for a little more to do, a number of tours and rides are available to Chichicastenango, Cobán, Lago de Atitlán, Río Dulce, Copán (Honduras) and other places.

The Hotel Casa Santo Domingo offers stunning grounds and a unique rustic but romantic ambience that borders on luxury. The breakfast buffet provides all you can eat to start your day, before heading out to visit the museums, nearby volcanoes, or just hang out at the pool.
