The Maldives, an island nation comprised of a double-chain of 26 atolls off the coast of India, is undoubtedly a hotspot for those seeking the ultimate in island getaways.

Although the region offers dozens of luxury hotels and resorts, the Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu consistently receives rave reviews from its guests; perhaps it has something to do with the love-at-first-sight effect its very configuration has on visitors who have the advantage of seeing the property’s aerial view.

Of its 98 thatched villas, some dot the shoreline among the trees on land while the remainder stretch out into the water, forming an intricate, leaf-like pattern of villas on stilts. The visual effect, particularly from the air, is nothing short of stunning.
