Hotel Bascio in Playa del Carmen, Mexico

June 14, 2011 by

Hotel Bascio is located in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

The lobby of this quant hotel is decorated with a street market style, with recycled tiled floor. A small vestibule in the front leads to a boutique with the articles by Mexican artists.

The first floor of Bascio is home to the hotel’s restaurant. This exceptional space is shaded by the branches of trees and surrounded by flowers. The restaurant serves scrumptious meals from Veracruz.

The bar and pool offers guests amazing views of the Caribbean Sea. The pools are two circular industrial tanks which are reminiscent of old water parks and the Mexican petroleum industry. The evening brings screenings of classical films.

Hotel Bascio has 15 rooms spread out across two floors. The decoration is eccentric with local influences, including spare tires, textured and recycled elements, exposed plumbing pipes, resins and latex. The hotel offers three distinct rooms: Suite, Town View and Patio View. Amenities for the rooms include: air conditioning, mini bar, telephone, TV, DVD player and safety box. Services for the hotel include: laundry service, fax, free Wi-Fi, beach club, concierge and room service.
