December 20, 2011 by

Located on 12 acres in the Bel-Air Estates neighborhood of Los Angeles, the famous Hotel Bel-Air is one of the most stunning, romantic, and elite hotels in the world.

Newly opened after a two year revolution, this Spanish mission-style metropolitan refuge wins a never-ending stream of tribute for its flawless service, lavish accommodations, and delightful environment.

All recently refurbished rooms and suites feature a fresh generation of design visual and is reflected through distinctive design themes from the glamorous decades of the 1930s, 40s and 50s expressed in a fresh, youthful and graceful way. Hotel Bel-Air is home to 58 guestrooms and 45 suites, including 7 exclusive specialty suites.

The unbelievable re-design of Hotel Bel-Air by the eminent interior designer Alexandra Champalimaud was inspired by 1930’s, 1940’s and 1950’s Hollywood, a period of Southern Californian uptown architecture and design that produced an all American style inducing glamour and charming living with global flair.

The Bel-Air’s design has always mixed the influences of Spanish colonial, layered with the smooth finishes and lovely shapes of French Deco, the last word in fashion of the time. The style that surfaced was young, fun, fresh and chic. Stone floors in limestone and polished marble, smooth, pale plaster walls, natural wood ceilings and rich finishes and textures with bold strokes of color in furnishings were melded to create a poised style that complements the magnificent garden environment.

The Lobby Lounge is the heart of the hotel. The lounge is a light and airy space with a stunning stone fireplace, and vaulted windows overlooking the gardens where guests can relax and enjoy conversation, a cup of tea, or a cocktail.

The celebrated restaurant, bar, catering and in-room dining services are managed by world-renowned Master Chef Wolfgang Puck with a menu featuring contemporary California cuisine with European and Mediterranean influences in a brilliant garden setting.

The celebrated hotel bar was re-designed keeping its one of a king club-like vibe in mind. A central fireplace, grand piano, and wood paneled walls will make you feel like you’ve been transported back to the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Hotel Bel-Air’s 12 acres of gardens have created a serene atmosphere for health and wellness for over 65 years. They are thrilled to open the next improvement to their delightful sanctuary, the new Hotel Bel-Air Spa by La Prairie. The new spa features seven treatment rooms, including a couples retreat with private patio, a mosaic steam, and contentedly stylish relaxation areas. A new state-of-the-art fitness studio will be bordering to the spa.

Hotel Bel-Air is the ideal place to transport yourself back to the glamour of old Hollywood.
