For an unforgettable getaway in a private rainforest paradise, the Kura Design Villas of Costa Rica offers a boutique hotel experience along the Southern Pacific coastline of Costa Rica. The area is famous for its lush flora and fauna and mountainous landscape as it meets the ocean.

This notable destination is not on the beach but is perched remotely on the coastal slope five kilometers above the shoreline! Each day guests wake up to stunning views!

Kura villas

Kura’s accommodations include 6 exclusive jungle villas that blend seamlessly with the rainforest. All six villas reflect clean, tropical minimalism with local indigenous elements in an open floor design.

Each jungle villa overlooks the ocean, including the expansive “Whale’s Tail” sandbar in Ballena Marine National Park. Amenities include a spacious private terrace with glass veranda, free Internet, and are furnished with King sized bed with luxurious linens and duvet.

Things to Do

For those ready to venture out for a little exploration, along with beach activities and other water sports, whale watching is a favorite. Humpback whales migrate from both hemispheres to the warm tropical waters of Costa Rica.

Guests can expect to see these magnificent creatures from mid-July to October and again from December through March. Half day whale watching (or snorkeling) tours are offered during season. Other creatures you may spot include pilot whales, bottle nose dolphins, or spotted dolphins which live along the Uvita coast.

Also, while the villas are not on the beach, the area does boast seven pristine beaches nearby including a protected marine reserve.
