Relax Here: Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa

August 17, 2012 by

Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa is a bit of a hideaway along the scenic Hudson River, but don’t let the B&B style frontage and secluded nature of this inn fool you. The Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa is a perfect combination of elegance and rustic charm, complete with plush furnishings and antique touches throughout the inn.

The main house, which is comprised of 10 guest rooms, is a renovated¬†1764 Colonial home. While period furnishings adorn many of the rooms, the property has been appropriately modernized to provide up-to-date amenities and accommodations. Guests that want a little more privacy can stay in the North Cottage, Pony’s Pad or the Riverknoll House, each of which overlook the Hudson.

The inn occupies over 70 acres of land along the river, and makes good use of the grounds. Guests can walk the trails surrounding the inn, visit the gardens, gaze at the waterfalls, check in on the chickens and peacocks in the Birdhouse, or catch a musical event at the riverfront esplanade.

The Buttermilk Spa is also not to be missed on a visit to this area. As one of the premier eco-friendly spas in New York, The Buttermilk Spa employs a green philosophy when taking care of guests.

All products are organic and natural, with many of the ingredients coming from the inn’s own garden and bee hives. The naturally crafted spa products are used for a full line of spa treatments including facials, massages and body treatments. The sauna, steam room and endless pool are also heated using solar and geothermal energy.

Explore the Hudson Valley in style with a stay at the Buttermilk Falls Inn & Spa. Rooms start at $300 per night and can be reserved on the inn’s website.
