Royalton Hotel in New York City

December 15, 2011 by

In 2007, the iconic Royalton Hotel reopened its doors in midtown Manhattan.

Morgans commissioned Roman and Williams, the New York design firm, to restore Royalton’s renowned lobby as a crossroads for global travelers and the New York select.

The hotel’s design concurrently stylish and multifaceted, contrasts an icy cast-glass foyer and strong steel and brass furnishings with gentle suede upholstery, solid leather walls and hide-covered chairs to create a dark, sexy and lavish environment. Design and architectural details consist of a massive floor-to-ceiling hand created cast–bronze fireplace, a twenty-foot screen that was once part of the portico of a building in France and hand-upholstered leather walls done in a pattern evocative of African tribal art.

The Royalton offers a wide range of rooms and suites for guests to choose from, including: Standard, Pure Standard, Standard with Soaking Tub, Superior Queen, Superior Two Double Beds, Deluxe Queen Fireplace, Deluxe Queen with Soaking Tub, Pure Deluxe, Deluxe King, Deluxe Queen Soaking Tub & Fireplace, Loft, Alcove Suite, Pure Suite, Penthouse “A,” Penthouse “B,” and Penthouse “C.” No matter what you specific taste, you will find exactly what you’re looking for in a Royalton room. From the luxurious Penthouses to a Standard with Soaking Tub, you’re room is waiting.

Royalton’s New York City Penthouses offer three daring and noticeably unique design statements, yet each is a roomy and stylishly prearranged embodiment of the chic Manhattan accommodation. They highlight posh built-in window banquettes and splendid slate and mirrored tile bathrooms. Luxurious round soaking tubs and working fireplaces with custom slate mantels give wonderful indoor memories, while extravagant terraces with striking views of midtown Manhattan encourage a step outside.

Royalton’s Fitness Center features state of the art exercise equipment and is located on the 4th floor and is accessible via guest room key.

Forty Four, featuring a world-class group of bartenders known as “The Cocktail Collective,” offers a new food menu that is ingredient-focused and commemorates the venerable, hotel lobby ritual of accompanying a cocktail or two with an
unplanned meal.

Royalton New York is sophisticated and chic, the Manhattan you’ve dreamed of.
