Right now, if you travel between July 1 and December 15, 2014, you can save at three fishing lodges located in Belize. Frontiers International is offering couples a chance to stay for four nights for just $3,290 or seven nights for $6,228 at the El Pescador Resort, Turneffe Flats Lodge, or the Belize River Lodge

El Pescador Resort

At El Pescador, anglers can achieve the ultimate fishing dream – a Grand Slam of bonefish, tarpon and permit. The resort is located near the only classic tarpon flats outside South Florida and offers a chance to catch tarpon year round.

The lagoons are the place to catch lady fish or snook, and when you go outside the reef to the deep water, anglers bring in tuna and wahoo and can troll for king fish or barracuda. Boats, kayaks and canoes are available to guests at no charge.

Turneffe Flats Lodge

Turneffe Flats Lodge

Turneffe Flats is located on the Northeastern side of the Turneffe Atoll. It’s a secluded point with a powdered-sugar sand beach, stunning vistas and a shallow bonefish flat right outside the door.

Turneffe Flats Lodge is situated on 25 acres of manicured grounds and includes eight spacious, air-conditioned cabanas located directly on the beach, and the three-bedroom Reef Villa and Garden Villa offer more room including a larger common area. The Lodge includes a dining room, a sitting area, a gift shop and fly shop, and serves family style meals.

The Belize River Lodge offers a quiet destination on the lush, green banks of the Belize Olde River. It’s situated just 3.5 miles from the mouth of the river and the entrance into the Caribbean Sea where anglers enjoy classic Flats fishing.

This historic lodge features beautiful mahogany wood amid a tropical setting. Along with fishing, guests enjoy balmy breezes and abundant wildlife from private cottages.

All three of these lodges promise a great angling get away. For more information visit the website, or call them toll free at 800-245-1950.

I never thought about fishing as part of a vacation package, but the thought of eating fresh seafood while on an island like Belize sounds pretty great!
