Venice, Italy is an island city with an unique way of life that stirs the senses. Where you stay can really enhance the experience, too. For instance, the Hotel Cipriani is an iconic Orient-Express hotel ideally situated to help take in Venetian life and style.

It is famous for its exquisite décor and views of the lagoon, the Doge’s Palace, and the most magnificent swimming pool in the city. The hotel also provides use of a private red-clay tennis court to its guests, and even the tennis court is situated in a gorgeous Venetian garden nestled at the edge of the lagoon.

Other Amenities

While the Olympic-size swimming pool is highlighted in photos of the Hotel Cipriani, the Cipriani also features a number of other facilities including a fitness center equipped with Technogym equipment. This is no ordinary setting, though. The gym offers a view of flower-covered terraces for the faithful fitness nuts working out.

When you’re ready to spend time outdoors, the Cipriani provides a captain and private boat to get away from the city center. This is an ideal opportunity to investigate the beauties of the lagoon and visit some of the smaller islands.

The Palladio Suite and Other Accommodations

The Hotel Cipriani is small compared to many hotels, but its 79 rooms and suites feature stunning views of the lagoon and gardens. It is also linked to the Palazzo Vendramin, a 15th century residence, through an ancient courtyard.

This provides 16 additional suites and rooms that feature sweeping vistas that overlook the gardens and beyond to the historic St. Mark’s Square.

For an exceptional experience, plan a stay in the Palladio Suite, which is a glass capsule suspended above the lagoon. Talk about views! This suite offers a 180 degree view through the floor, ceiling and windows.

Guests who stay in Palladio Suite also have exclusive use of a large terrace with an outdoor heated pool and heated Jacuzzi.

Dining at the Hotel Cipriani

The Hotel Cipriani offers everything you need to enjoy your stay in Venice. Along with the amenities mentioned above, they also feature restaurants including the elegant alfresco Pool Restaurant, to the more casual Cip’s Club, and the Fortuny Restaurant with its unique silk décor.

The Hotel Cipriani does it all with a touch of elegance.

Sometimes the smaller hotels like this offer the best service. Less rooms create an intimate atmosphere where the staff (and other guests) tend to know who you are after a few days and make a vacation a little more personal and friendly.
