Chicama is a famous surf destination for surfers around the world, known most for it’s mile long left breaking waves, as well as it’s consistently smooth breaks. It has easy to moderate waves most of summer (November through March), and more challenging surf the rest of the year.

The best part? It’s just $70/per person/night for a room with a view.

They offer surfboard rentals as well as shuttles to any of the areas famous breaks.

After a long day of paddling, relax at the health spa in the jacuzzi, dry sauna, steam room, or with a massage.

Enjoy dinner at the resort with meals prepared using fresh and local ingredients, or to fulfill more of a surf town appetite, try fish tacos at any of the dozens of scattered taco stands.

Finally, head out to the pool deck bar, listen to the sounds of the waves, and enjoy a Pisco Sour, Peru’s most famous drink: Pisco brandy, lemon juice, egg white, syrup and bitters.
