The Goring Hotel, which was recently found in the worldwide spotlight during The Royal Wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, is located in London, England.

The hotel is found in the district of Belgravia, which is most likely the most striking area of London, characterized by the majestic squares, dignified mansions and chic terraces of white stucco houses of the 1820s. Buckingham Palace borders the district. Belgravia was one of London’s most fashionable residential districts from the start and remains so to this day; home to a large number of Embassies and where some of Britain’s most elite homes are found.

The Goring Hotel’s bedrooms and suites summarize the characteristically English feel of this grand English hotel. Each bedroom is independently designed using a variety of breathtaking colors. Silks from the ancient house of Gainsborough, rich fabrics designed by Nina Campbell for her suites, and incredible tailored pieces of furniture are all brought together with the newest contemporary technology to make these fantastic rooms. Each bathroom features the largest of heavy Egyptian cotton bath sheets and an assortment of toiletries from the English Perfumer, Molton Brown.

A third of The Goring Hotel rooms look over their private garden giving that further element of space beyond the window: a true luxury in a capital city like London. The remainder nestle quietly over the delightful Victoria Square and the quiet Beeston Place.

A truly Royal Suite has opened at The Goring following almost eighteen months of preparation and renovation. Specially made to honor the Centenary of the hotel in 2010, top designer Russell Sage was asked to bring The Goring’s exceptional style to life. This four room suite stretches across the whole length of the top floor overlooking the private gardens. Spectacular Gainsborough silks have been used throughout the space. The Drawing Room and Dining Room are covered in powder blues while the bedrooms are champagne pink and a sage green silk from a pattern first woven in 1910. An amazing anthology of antique books, china, glass and silver has been brought together creating a unique atmosphere across the four rooms. A truly beautiful blend of homeliness and comfortable magnificence, in keeping with the rest of the hotel. A new balcony has also been created running right across the suite with superlative panoramic views over the skyline of London.

The Goring Bar throbs at the epicenter of London life. Designed by Tim Gosling, it strikes of majestic splendor without the stuffed game. In the summer, the verandah overlooks the enormous gardens and is one of the hidden gems of the City.
Afternoon tea is one of London’s best. The Chief Exec tastes the tea blends himself.

In The Dining Room, proper British cuisine is served with produce carefully sourced. Wines at The Goring have been purchased En Primeur and laid down every year for 100 years. Small private parties, meetings and celebrations are a Goring area of expertise, using the 4 beautiful private rooms. The Archive room is the star, with it’s own private garden leading to the enormous main gardens.

Accommodation at The Goring includes complimentary membership at Victoria’s LA Fitness Club, three minutes walk away, providing swimming pool, sauna, and state-of-the-art gymnasium. Massage treatments and fitness classes may also be booked directly with the Club.

The Goring is the recipient of many prestigious awards, including Top Hotel in Europe for Travel & Leisure Magazine 2010, which described the hotel as “delightfully personal, endearingly eccentric and proudly, flagrantly British.”
