Villa d’Este

Villa d’Este is a 16th century estate situated on 22 acres amid lemon and olive groves on the banks of the Arno River nestled in the heart of Tuscany.

This splendid mansion was turned into a hotel in 1948 and was completely renovated in 1998. Today it offers refined elegance amid a natural setting ideal for relaxation and pampering from the moment you arrive.

Things to Do at the Villa

The Villa d’Este is located just outside of Florence, Italy. A convenient shuttle is available to take you to the Tuscan capital, to enjoy museums, cultural dishes, and of course landmarks including the Statue of David, the Piazzale Michelangelo, the Fountain of Neptune and more.

At the end of a busy day the peace and the serenity of the Villa d’Este will return you to the Renaissance splendor and lifestyle of Florentine aristocrats. The property includes a botanical garden, a fitness trail, tennis, a swimming pool, a children’s playground and for equestrians horseback riding facilities are also nearby.

Golfers can also enjoy a round of golf at the historical Golf dell’Ugolino located just 8 km from the Villa. Other nearby golf options include the Poggio dei Medici and Le Pavoniere (18 holes).

Mountain biking is another favorite way to enjoy the surrounding area. The reception staff can provide bikes along with suggestions for the most interesting routes.
