Welcome Beyond

June 4, 2012 by

We don’t know whether love at first sight exists in the romantic realm, but we can certainly vouch for it in the world of travel websites. When we first saw Welcome Beyond, our jaws dropped, our hearts beat faster, and, yes, we vowed our eternal love.

Sound like hyperbole? Wait till you see the photos!

Welcome Beyond is a carefully curated portal to standout boutique hotels, guesthouses, and rental villas across the globe. Properties must apply for listing on the site, and only the seriously cool merit inclusion. Think a mirrored treehouse in Sweden, airy white villas in Santorini, old-money estates in France and Italy — all of them artfully decorated by owners who are passionate about creating a unique and restful retreat.

It’s a one-stop dream world for design lovers and travel lovers alike.

The site has a few downsides for serious travelers. The emphasis on quality over quantity means there are just over 100 properties worldwide. The site search is very basic. And the only way to contact specific properties is through email; there’s no way to check availability or make reservations online.

Many of the properties fetch prices worthy of their impeccable design, but others are surprisingly affordable. Whatever your budget or travel plans, Welcome Beyond is an amazing place to discover your new travel love.

Every place looks gorgeous! If I had the money to spend on a gamble, I would definitely try booking many of those homes!
