If you’re looking for a party atmosphere with live entertainment, the 4th Annual Detroit Beer Festival will make a perfect destination for beer lovers. With more than 300 beers to sample tickets are selling fast, even though they’ve expanded the event to both Friday and Saturday.

If you’re making plans to attend the festival at the end of October, it’s wise to buy your tickets in advance to ensure you will get admitted.

Tickets for the 4th Annual Detroit Beer Festival

Tickets for the 4th Annual Detroit Beer Festival went on sale in August, and advanced tickets are just $35. If you want to wait and try your luck at the gate, the price will be $40 if there are still tickets available.

For $45 you can become a “Michigan Beer Nut” with an Enthusiast Membership. It will get you in the door an hour before the gates open to the general public, along with a free tee shirt and a few other perks.

Organizers are expecting sell-out crowds this year, and the festival will go on either rain or shine, so if you really want to guarantee admittance, buy your ticket in advance. This can be done online or through various ticket outlets.

Prepare Your Taste Buds for an Adventure

If you enjoy a good brew, your taste buds are going to have plenty to sample this year. This year’s event has more than 50 Michigan Brewers scheduled to provide a variety of samples that include over 300 beers.

Hours

  • Friday, October 26: 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 27: 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Local bands will also provide live entertainment, and food will be offered for sale by local restaurants. Coolers will be allowed with your own food and drink, but will be inspected at the gate. Alcohol and glass containers will not be allowed.

What You Need to Know Before You Go

Before you head to the festival, it is important to understand that you must be 21 years old (and have an ID) or older to get in. Upon admission, you’ll receive 15 drink tokens which are redeemable for 3 ounce beer samples. More tokens will be available inside the festival for 50 cents.

The beer will be distributed in specially marked cups. The combination of tokens and cups is all to stay in line with the Michigan Liquor Control Commission regulations regarding the serving of beer.

Designated drivers are encouraged, and special $5.00 tickets are available at the gate or online for them. However, they are not allowed to drink any beer.
