On the shores of the world’s most beautiful harbour for 2011 Sydney New Year’s Eve, the City of Sydney is preparing another spectacular celebration .
Sydney New Year’s Eve gets bigger and better each year and 2011 is shaping up to be one of their most spectacular celebrations.
The event features aerial displays, a Harbour of Light Parade, 9.00pm Family Fireworks, the Midnight Finale and the highly-anticipated Bridge Effect.
The majestic Harbour of Light Parade, two fireworks shows and the Bridge Effect will light up Sydney Harbour, as more than one million spectators line the foreshore and millions more tune in to the live TV broadcast.
The Sydney New Year’s Eve fireworks displays are the largest and most technologically advanced in the world.
The New Year’s Eve celebrations in 2011 will see more than 3,000 kilograms of explosive devices, including more than 11,000 shells, 10,000 shooting comets and 100,000 individual pyrotechnic effects fired from barges in the harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
