Boise Sounds: Treefort Music Festival

June 4, 2013 by

Downtown Boise explodes with colors, music, and excitement every spring when the Treefort Music Fest jams it’s way into town.

This fest hosts Boise up and coming artists as well as regional and national level musicians and is just one more reason why this capital city is making waves as one of the best cities to live in.

The uniqueness of Treefort comes from the strong participation of downtown bars and restaurants, each one hosting an artist, or several artists, over the three day weekend.

Be sure to also check out the “Food Truck Rally” where 14+ fast food spinoffs compete for your favorite street vendor. A locals favorite is the CodFather’s Fish and Chips truck.

Single day passes cost $50. If you purchase your pass early, general admission costs just $90 covering you for all three days of nonstop music.

In March, when the flowers are beginning to leap out of the ground, the community here takes off. More bikes stroll the streets, more restaurants have seating outside, and more music fills the air.

The 2014 fest will run March 20-23. You definitely don’t want to miss the 260+ lineup featuring Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Brother Ali, Camper Van Beethoven, K. Flay, and Wolverspent.
