If you love chocolate, save the dates for Chocolate Fest 2014. The Festival will be held from Saturday, August 2nd until Saturday, August 9 in Canada’s “chocolate town” of St. Stephen, New Brunswick. This year marks the 30th annual Chocolate Festival and promises to delight all your senses with the wonder of chocolate.
Featured events surround – you guessed it – chocolate. Guests won’t want to miss “Chocolate Mania” or the “Taste of Chocolate” with chocolate themed lunches and dinners. In the evening, you can even plan to relax with Choctails or wine and chocolate.
This is one festival the entire family can look forward to with family-friendly events, entertainment, competitions, and chocolate!
All ages will have the opportunity to test their skills at making hand-crafted chocolates and the kids will love the opportunity to meet mascots Chocolate Mousse and his lovely wife, Tiffany.
All in all the Chocolate Fest is an opportunity to indulge in a variety of new and delicious experiences surrounded by chocolate.
The Chocolate Museum
While you’re there, make sure to visit the Chocolate Museum where you can learn about candy making in an interactive way with hands-on exhibits. Displays also include interactive computer displays, antique candy-making equipment, and a collection of historic chocolate boxes. You’ll also learn how St. Stephens became known as Canada’s Chocolate Town.
As a bonus, you’ll have the opportunity to view famous Ganongs hand-crafted products being made by their famous hand-dippers right there in the museum. And even better, you’ll have the chance to indulge and eat as much Ganong chocolates as you like.
Heritage Chocolate Walk
Along with eating Ganong chocolates, you can take the Heritage Chocolate Walk to learn about the impact of Ganong Bros. Ltd. and their chocolate on the town of St. Stephen. The walk is offered from mid-June to September and includes a tour of the Museum plus an outdoor walk. It’s an experience chocoholics won’t want to miss.
