Fairbanks Midnight Sun FestivalThe Place to Be: Downtown Fairbanks

At noon, on Sunday, June 23rd, the setup for the Midnight Sun Festival goes into full swing. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Avenues will be closed to vehicular traffic and will become a pedestrian only zone. Booths will be set up, and the smell of grilling foods will waft on the breeze as live music starts playing.

With more than 180 booths offering arts, crafts, merchandise, food, and more visitors known as “sun seekers” will fill the streets.

Expect More than Typical Fair Foods

Each year the Midnight Sun Festival draws new food vendors who strive to find a balance between classic fair foods and outstanding original cuisine.

Among the 60 + food booths you’ll find classics like elephant ears, funnel cakes, ice cream, and blended shakes to specialty foods like salmon and berry crepes. Then what festival would be complete without food on a stick? With 12 hours to play, you’ll have time to try a little bit of everything.
