The Royal Gorge in Colorado is something you don’t want to miss. Just 2 hours south of Denver and an hour from Colorado Springs, the earth opens up and reveals 1250 ft granite walls carved by the Arkansas River. Being only 50 ft wide, this 10 mile canyon offers great class 2-5 whitewater rafting!

They employ only seasoned river guides, which means you’re sure to have a great float with a knowledgeable boater. The river is easily suitable for first time rafters, but offers great rapids like “Sledgehammer,” or “Boat Eater,” for seasoned paddlers.

They offer 3 float options: a half day float ($69), a full day float ($109) which includes a riverside sack lunch, or the back to back ($119): run the whole river and finish the day with a meal the Whitewater Bar & Grill, their own beachside grill house.
