Winterlicious at the Ritz 2013

Winterlicious 2013 was Toronto’s biggest winter culinary celebration to date. This year when the holidays are over, you don’t have to settle into the same ol’ same ol’. Make plans to travel to Winterlicious 2014.

It’s not like summer’s Taste of Chicago where vendors crowd the streets to showcase the diversity of Chicago’s dining community. Winterlicious Toronto offers foods from the savory to the luscious in a succulent series hosted by almost 200 of Toronto’s top restaurants.

Winterlicious: January 25 – February 7th

Winterlicious will take over Toronto’s restaurant scene from January 25 to February 7th, 2014. With almost 200 restaurants to choose from, and a chance to save money with prix fixe menus, it is best for guests to pick their favorites and to make reservations for this one-of-a-kind culinary event.

Prix Fixe Menus

This prix fixe extravaganza is a great way to experience culinary delights at some of Toronto’s best restaurants at reasonable prices. Toronto’s participating restaurants offer three-course prix fixe menus at one of three price point categories:

  • $15 Lunch and/or $25 Dinner
  • $20 Lunch and/or $35 Dinner
  • $25 Lunch and/or $45 Dinner

Winterlicious is an ideal opportunity to order dishes you don’t typically get to enjoy, however if you prefer to order off the regular menu, many of the restaurants make it available.

While the savings are ideal for patrons, remember the servers when it comes to tipping. They take a real hit when the prices are lowered for this event. An increase of 5%-7% is recommended when tipping.

Wheelchair Accessible

Restaurants participating in the Winterlicious event have been asked to identify whether their location is fully barrier-free and wheelchair accessible. Look for the iconic wheelchair symbol to find accessible restaurants.

Toronto’s special events department runs Winterlicious and chooses which restaurants participate. Check their website for more information.
