Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Pocantico Hills, New York

July 26, 2011 by

Blue Hill at Stone Barns opened in the Spring of 2004, within the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture in Pocantico Hills, New York.

The Barbers helped fashion the rational and realistic structure for Stone Barns Center, a working four-season farm and educational center located just 30 miles north of New York City, and continue to help guide it in its mission to create an awareness about the consequences of daily food choices.

A break for families and hikers, Blue Hill Café offers light snacks, farm-fresh lattes, and other in-the-neighborhood grown goodies. Fresh baked goods and vegetable salads primed in Blue Hill’s kitchen are presented to eat in the courtyard or to take on a walk around the farm. The shelves rotate seasonal jams and pickles: rhubarb jam and pickled sunchokes in the spring and apple butter and pickled cucumbers in the fall.
