Quietly nestled in Oak Lawn, Dallas, Texas is a top rated vegetarian restaurant that appeals to even the strictest carnivores.

The Cosmic Cafe is a haven for vegetarian eaters in the Dallas area. They feature healthy meals that cater to the strictest plant eaters and they also can adjust meals to make them vegan and allergy friendly.

The menu is influenced with Pakistani, and Indian flavors and highlights vegetarian favorites like Pappadam (lentil wafers), Lentil Dahl (lentil soup), Buddha’s Delight (vegetable curry), and Cosmic Stir (tofu stir fry). For a unique flavor experience, try the Bombay Sage: Lightly sautéed lentils rolled in flour tortillas served with mango chutney and salad.

The atmosphere is, as the name suggests, cosmic. The walls are painted in vibrant colors with spacey designs and adorned with Eastern religious symbols and figures.

Perhaps what Cosmic Cafe is most well known for, besides the cool decor and laid back atmosphere, is their vegan and vegetarian deserts. Each day a new sweet is created that makes meat eaters consider going vegan.

Most meals cost between $12-20. They serve beer, wine and specialty teas.

Visit Cosmic Cafe for a peak at the menu, hours, and location.
