Jean Georges is a French restaurant located on the Lobby Level of the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Manhattan, named after Jean-Geroges Vongerichten, its owner.
Designed by architect Adam Tihany, the restaurant is divided into two main dining areas: the 70-seat Jean Georges dining room and the Nougatine Café bar-lounge, a slightly more casual dining room. In good weather there is also seating on the Mistral Terrace
A prix-fixe menu is available with a two-course lunch and a four-course dinner. Two seven-course tasting menus are also available: the Jean Georges menu of signature dishes, and a seasonal menu highlighting fresh produce. show Top Chef: Just Desserts.
Jean Georges has received the James Beard award for Best Chef and Best New Restaurant, and Esquire Magazine voted Chef Vongerichten the Chef of the Year in 1997. Jean Georges restaurant also holds 3 Michelin stars, one of 5 NYC restaurants currently holding the accolade. Jean Georges also remains of the few restaurants awarded four stars by The New York Times.
