The Soul Kitchen, located in Red Bank New Jersey, is a Community Restaurant, and a non-profit community program run by the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation. If you’re in the area stop by, reservations are not needed and everyone is seated on a first-come first-serve basis.
The mission of the Soul Kitchen is to eradicate hunger, and when you join them for a meal or participate in their Pay It Forward program with a $20 donation, it covers someone else’s meal who has volunteered as payment.
The Soul Kitchen Vision
Soul Kitchen’s vision is to serve up healthy, delicious…and when possible, organic meals.
While that’s is a vision shared by other health-conscious restaurants, one of the things that makes the Soul Kitchen stand out is its menu. It has no prices. Not because things are so expensive that only the wealthy who don’t care about cost will eat there, but because customers pay the minimum donation or volunteer in some way to “earn” a dining certificate for a meal.
