The Folly Restaurant and Bar in London, England

March 25, 2011 by

Stepping into London’s secret garden, this restaurant is as though someone went in my head, looked around at all of the creative ideas, and was finally able to sort them out into one really inspiring design.
Sweetly named The Folly, this dining locale showcases flowerpots for chip bowls and lampshades, growing herbs for center pieces, a garden lounge, and flower shop to boot. The two floors of the botanically inspired space have become instantly popular with clusters of dangling teardrop lights, leafy wallpaper, and wood and tiles forged in several different textures.

There’s a decidedly relaxed approach to service at this very memorable spot that includes filling your appetites with sharing boards and dishes such as crispy squid with ginger, pink peppercorns and citrus mayo and chicken satay with peanut sauce and prawn crackers – and then most pleasantly lovely drink/desert mashups, one chocolate chili martini and a strawberry cheesecake “with a twist”. Aesthetically unique, the Folly has definitely left its mark. (via)
