New York Magazine described the Waterfront Ale House as a “sublime combination of the haute and the down-home.” Their logo concurs as it boasts they are the home of warm beer, lousy food, an ugly owner, and yet invites patrons to come in enjoy and relax.

Two Locations

The Waterfront Ale House has two locations, one in Manhattan and the other in Brooklyn. Both are popular hot spots that have served up BBQ and craft beers for more than two decades.

The Manhattan location is found in the busy Kips Bay area, and serves as a respite from the busy, fast-paced Manhattan lifestyle. The Brooklyn location is found in the historic Brooklyn Heights, where it is a favorite refuge for locals and business people.

In either location, patrons enjoy the unpretentious bar and a mouthwatering menu. Selections feature something to please every palate, from great all-American “pub” food to upscale cuisine options like steamed vegetable dumplings.

The one thing all menu items have in common is that they are made with high-quality ingredients and taste out of this world.

Waterfront Ale House Menu

The food at the Waterfront Ale House keeps bringing people back for classics like Buffalo chicken wings and their award-winning BBQ which is smoked on the premises. Chili options are a popular favorite from the spicy Texas style chili served with onions, rice, and melted cheddar and jack cheese, to venison and black bean, or even vegetarian chili.

The chili isn’t the only vegetarian option on the menu. The Tandoori Veggi Burger can hold its own next to the half-pound beef burger, and for those who don’t want a burger or chili, there’s plenty more to choose from.

Whether you’re in the mood for a wrap, pulled pork, soups or salads, the varied menu has something for every taste, and a dessert menu to satisfy any craving! If you can’t decide, The Ale House serves up a bread pudding you’ll never forget.

Full Bar

Both of the Waterfront Ale House locations stock a full bar with 20 draught beers and a selection of more than 80 domestic and imported beers, along with a nice choice of wines, vintage whiskeys and more.

The Waterfront Ale House offers a casual, down-to-earth atmosphere, with food that exceeds expectations.
