Yucca Restaurant & Lounge in Shanghai, China

March 20, 2011 by

David Laris’ Yucca is located in Shanghai, China. It showcases a new restaurant and lounge concept that embodies the sexy spirited style of modern Mexico.
David Laris drew from the colorful world of Lucha Libra Wrestling, the glamour of 1960’s Mexican cinema and the Voodo & Superstition born from religious Mexico when designing Yucca. The space is a wild mix of modern Mexican motifs, bold, shocking colors, iron gates, Catholic crosses, and religious undertones.
The micro lounge, the newest manifestation, is home to a Mexican inspired menu and venue. It serves sexy, alternative cocktails and an indulgent selection of Yucca Mordiscos, their twist of the traditional quesadilla. The drinks list is tequila-focused, accompanied by a selection of classic cocktails, as well as house specials like the Mexican Mule.
Yucca is a place where “the most unexpected things can happen” so if you find yourself here, you may lose yourself as well.
