Copper Mountain is an ideal ski destination situated at the center of Summit County near Denver, Colorado. Skiers love it for the powder, blue skies, sunshine and more. Reports say resort personnel have already begun making snow to ensure they are ready to open for the season on November 4.

The Copper Mountain Ski Resort is a popular choice for fun in the snow for all ages and abilities. The slopes offer gentle terrain for beginners, steeper runs for those ready for the adventure, and for more experienced skiers wide open bowls guaranteed to challenge.

The resort spans 2,483 acres of the Colorado Rockies and offers skiing, snowboarding, tubing, along with other winter activities.

Ski School

If you have skied for years or never at all, the resort’s Ski School offers courses for all levels.

Group or private lessons are available. Small groups with a maximum of five students are available for children as young as 3-5 years old, and at the other end of the spectrum classes offer advice to the “over the hill gang” for seniors regarding the mountain environment and equipment. Along with these types of lessons, the school offers a Woodward at Copper Camp Day to expand your abilities.

The Copper Mountain Ski Resort features activities for skiers and non-skiers alike. Amenities include:

Child care facilities: The Copper Mountain Resort operates an on-site childcare facility for kids between the ages 8 weeks to 6 years. Along with that, for an extra fee, the Mini Stars program runs during the winter.

This program lets kids as young as 24 months experience skiing and snowboarding. The Copper Youth Ski and Ride School is also available for children 2-5 years old where they get a one-on-one snow lesson. Book in advance by calling 866-464-4432.

Critterland

Critterland: Critterland is an interactive experience of young children and their parents. It’s designed for kids under 36″. You’ll find it right next to the Tubing Hill.

Spa Treatments: To ease achy muscles after a day on the slopes, visitors can take advantage of complimentary use of the pool, hot tubs, saunas, steam room, weight room, and more. For an additional fee, you can pamper yourself with spa treatments such as a relaxing massage or rejuvenating facial.

Tubing Hill: Copper Mountain’s Tubing Hill features 4 thrilling lanes designed with banked curves, jumps and a long run! Double tubes are available for guests who want to ride together.
