Snowmobile tours offer a whole new perspective of the slopes.

Snowmobile Tours

Snowshoe Mountain’s hour-long evening snowmobile tours provide a unique chance to drive a snowmobile at night, and even an opportunity to learn how to operate a snowmobile for those who need to learn.

Of the tours offered, the basin tour is a favorite. Kids from 6-15 are allowed to join the fun (as passengers) as long as they meet the height requirement (46 inches). The tour offers a whole new perspective of the slopes as you ride along inclines, side slopes, and more. It’s a thrilling and beautiful experience for the entire family.

Another distinctive opportunity to see the mountain is the Snowcat Tours. For this tour, guests enjoy the comfort of the heated cab in the Snowcat Grooming Machine. A guide tells passengers how the snowmaking team transforms the water of Shaver’s Lake into skiable snow.

On nights when the snowmaking equipment is being used, those on the tour have the added bonus of touring the Snowshoe Compressor House to see how it all works. Kids 4 and younger can ride as a “lap child.” As you ride through the basin, legend has it there’s a chance you might even see the Snowshoe Sasquatch!

Coca-Cola Tube Park

Tubing is a fun way to enjoy the outdoors, but gives you a break from skiing or snowboarding. The Coca-Cola Tube Park is conveniently located next to Silver Creek which makes shuttle access handy from other places on Snowshoe Mountain.

A cable pulls the tubes so you don’t have to tire yourself out by dragging them yourself. Five tubing lanes makes it possible to race down as a group, or even connect multiple tubes together.
