Cypress Mountain, in West Vancouver, offers two mountainsides that carry skiers and snowboarders into what locals call the Cypress Bowl. It is a hot skiing destination for experienced skiers and riders and for those who want to learn.

Cypress Mountain’s Alpine Area

Alpine area tickets include lift tickets, downhill skiing and snowboarding. For skiers, Cypress Mountain’s terrain features the largest vertical drop on the North Shore. This makes it a popular destination for skiing and riding with 53 ski runs, 6 chair lifts, and 600 skiable acres.

If you forget or break something, equipment can be rented on site.

Lessons Available

For those who want to improve their skiing or riding skills, lessons are available through the Cypress Mountain snow school. You can arrange multi-day packages, private lessons, or drop in for group lessons. A Kids Camp is an option for the youngsters.

Snow tubing is fun for the whole family.

Cypress Mountain Nordic Area

Cypress Mountain’s Nordic Area offers some of the most popular backcountry skiing in the area. Nordic tickets are available for the whole day, for the evening, or you can purchase tickets individually for the Snowshoe Trail or Tube Park.

Snowshoe Trail: Snowshoe trails offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore mountain forests and snow covered meadows. The beauty is beyond words, so don’t forget your camera.

For those who haven’t tried snowshoeing, guided tours are available. Even if you are experienced, this is a great way to learn about often overlooked natural wonders.

Tube Park: The tube park lets you feel the rush of speeding downhill in minutes. The park features six chutes, each about 100 meters in length. This is fun for the entire family, but kids have to be 48″ tall to ride.
