Filter Water on the go with Bobble

January 28, 2013 by

Those who faithfully filter their drinking water at home, but pile up the plastic bottles when they’re traveling now have an option to ease the guilt of all those bottles tossed in the garbage. (We know you’re out there.)

Combining form and function, Bobble is a sleek, environmentally-friendly alternative to bottled water.

Here’s how it works: fill up the bottle with tap water and replace the cap, which is made of a carbon filter. The filter works as you drink, removing chlorine and organic contaminates, giving you a healthier, cleaner water.

Each filter is good for 300 bottles worth of water.

It’s important to note that the Bobble should only be filled up from water fountains or spigots where the water is known to be safe to drink. Those traveling to countries with unsafe drinking water will either need to boil the water first, or continue to buy bottled.

Bobble comes in three different sizes, 13 oz, 18.5 oz, and 34 oz, and the filters (which are one size fits all) come in 10 colors, from magenta to black.

Prices range from $8.99 to $12.99, and each bottle comes with the first filter. Replacement filters can be purchased for $6.99.

Bobble bottles and accessories can be purchased from a number of retailers, including Target, Macy’s and Office Depot.

Good idea for traveling. The water always tastes different in new cities or locations, and having the filter in the bottle gives you a little peace of mind.
