These days when we travel, it is commonplace for a number of mobile devices to travel with us. Everyone has a phone, a tablet or laptop. The problem is that eventually they all need power, and lugging around numerous chargers and cords is cumbersome at best. Nothing like a small suitcase just to accommodate our chargers!
When we carry so many individual chargers, we also run the risk of leaving at least one behind. Whether you’re traveling for business or pleasure, the Kensington AbsolutePower offers a solution to this problem.
Simultaneous Triple Charging
The Kensington AbsolutePower offers 100 watts of power to charge a laptop plus two USB devices at the same time. This charger is light to carry, and the most powerful charger in its class.
It comes with 10 replaceable “smart tips” compatible with laptops made by HP, Compaq, Dell, Acer, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung, Sony, Gateway, and ASUS. For a complete list of compatible devices check Kensington’s website.
In general, the Absolute Power charger is compatible with:
- Large laptops (100 watt)
- Small laptops (90 watt)
- Mobile device (10 watt)
Note that Apple’s MacBooks are not compatible.
Ideal for Domestic Travel
The Kensington Absolute Power is light and convenient for travel with a detachable cord that saves space when packing. Not only that, it saves you from hunting for public outlets to charge your many devices.
However, the charger does not come with an adapter or different power cord for those traveling overseas, and it doesn’t come with a storage case which would make it easier to contain the cord, tips and charger when traveling.
It can fit into a Ziploc baggie, but it does seem that for the $120 cost they could throw in a suitable carrying case designed to transport all parts compactly.
