Travel Must-Have: S’well Bottles

December 31, 2014 by

We like our coffee hot and our water cold, but lugging around two separate vessels isn’t very travel-friendly. Enter S’well Bottles, a multi-use bottle that promises to keep hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold.

Like a nalgene and thermos all rolled into one, S’well bottles use a double-walled stainless steel design to keep drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours.

The mouth is wide enough to plop in a few ice cubes, but designed so you don’t drip all over yourself while drinking, plus the bottles are condensation-free, so you never have to worry about them sweating onto the contents of your purse and making a mess.

And the bottles become vacuum sealed once you put on the lid, meaning you can store carbonated beverages in them without them going flat.

S’well bottles come in many different colors and designs (we love their wood collection), and sizes—the 9 oz and 17 oz fit in a standard sized cup-holder, while the larger 25 oz size is perfect for toting an entire bottle of perfectly-chilled wine to a picnic.

S’well bottles range in price from $25 to $45, with a portion of each purchase donated to charitable organizations like WaterAid, American Forests and Drink Up. Bottles can be ordered from S’well’s official website (bonus: they offer free shipping for all U.S. orders).
