Disney World on a Budget

May 30, 2012 by

Disney World theme park in Orlando, FL, one of the world’s premier destinations for kid-friendly vacations, isn’t just for those with deep pockets and extra cash to spare. With some careful planning and money-saving tips, you can take a family to Disney World with cash to spare.

The first tip is to look for cheap airfare to Orlando if you need to fly to get to Disney World. If you live within driving distance, this is obviously not a huge concern. Many airlines offer specials year round to this popular destination, so look on multiple websites and airline carriers until you find the best deal. Book your flight about a month out from your trip to get the best rates.

The second tip is to choose a budget-friendly place to stay. Call around for the best deals, and ask about any specials or promotions they may be offering. There are so many hotels in the Orlando area that you’ll definitely find a great deal somewhere.

If you’re staying at a Disney-affiliated resort, you’ll also get free transportation to the attractions. Choose a room that has enough room for your family to comfortably stay, and amenities that your family will enjoy.

Theme park tickets for a family will be where you spend a bulk of your money. See EPCOT and Hollywood Studios one day, and Disney World the next. You’ll save money by not seeing everything, but still get a great Disney World experience.

There are a variety of ticket combinations that you can choose from, so do your research and plan out how you’ll spend your days to avoid getting tickets to attractions you ultimately won’t have time or energy to see.
