Mountain High Flavor

July 25, 2013 by

Everyone loves pizza! When you’re visiting a new city, it’s almost a given that you have to try their pizza. Knowing where to go is the hard part.

Beau Jo’s Colorado Pizza takes their mountain high recipe seriously. Born out of legend, their pizza recipe has attracted Colorado’s outdoor enthusiasts year after year and keeps gaining popularity. It’s here that putting honey on your crust became famous.

It’s not just good pizza…it’s also good for the environment. Each of their 7 Colorado locations (and one in South Dakota) contributes it’s own eco-friendly habits for a happier planet.┬áIdaho Springs, the original location, is run off 100% wind power, Boulder uses local ingredients, and Arvada runs off geothermal power.

Even better, it’s budget friendly. It’s perfect for a casual dinner after a long day of tourist activities or for a kid friendly atmosphere. A large pizza for 5-7 people will cost about $25. You can build your own or choose a specialty mountain pie, like “Skier Mike’s,” or “Old Settler.”

They also offer a gluten free menu, a killer salad bar, sandwiches and calzones. No matter what you order, you won’t be disappointed.

Visit their website for location and special offers.
