Save Money with Restaurant Coupons

March 19, 2013 by

As the kids grow, they eat more, and when they outgrow the kids menu it really makes a difference in the bottom line when you eat out.

On vacation, food can end up costing as much as a hotel room. That’s why we try to stay at places that provide breakfast. That cuts one meal off our travel budget.

The other way to help whittle those costs down is to use restaurant coupons. In this day of technology, printable restaurant coupons work best for my family.

Where to Find Restaurant Coupons

Here are a few of the sites where I have found discount restaurant coupons that were useful:

  • valpak.com: This site is pretty user friendly and allows you to choose the state or territory you’ll be visiting. To narrow the search further, you can enter the city, state, zip code, province or postal code to bring up coupons for fast food, pizza, Mexican, Italian, Chinese, and more. For the most part, printable restaurant coupons on this site are for more populated areas. For instance, they currently offer 41 Orlando restaurant coupons and 30 Las Vegas restaurant coupons.
  • Restaurant.com: Restaurant.com works a little differently. Here you can by $25 restaurant gift certificates for just $10. This cuts eating expenses by more than half. Registration is necessary to participate. You do this by creating a Restaurant.com account. Along with access to the discounted certificates, the site sends additional promotions by email.
  • Coupondivas.com: This site is a favorite because it is an online community where people share information. It not only provides restaurant coupons, but grocery coupons, too. As an added bonus they feature a kids eat free list organized by the days of the week.

Free Breakfast

Staying at a hotel that offers a complementary breakfast is another way to save.

There are all kinds of coupons sites out there these days. Along with discounts, be sure to watch for buy one get one free offers, and if you know of a site that offers good restaurant coupons, please take a moment to share it in the comments section.

  1. I’ve used both Valpak and Restaurant.com, and both have helped my family to save on family meals out — even when we are not on vacation!
