First, there’s the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the Orlando-based theme park dedicated to the books and films.
But if a trip to Florida isn’t in your future, maybe a better option is the Harry Potter Exhibition in New York City.
The exhibit originally debuted in Chicago in 2009, before it bounced around to several US cities, including New York, and took a year-long international tour. Now it’s back in the Big Apple, and updated with items from the final movie. Open since November, the exhibit will run until April 7th.
The exhibit includes costumes and props from all of the movies, housed in a 14,000 square foot hall, with rooms decorated to look like several of the films movie sets.
Guests can walk through the Great Hall, Gryffindor’s common room and even Hagrid’s hut, while checking out thousands of pieces of movie memorabilia, such as the Golden Snitch and Draco Malfoy’s Nimbus 2001. A lucky few even have the chance to try on the sorting hat and find out what house they belong to.
Tickets for Harry Potter: The Exhibition cost $27 for adults, and $19.50 for children aged 4-12. Tickets can be purchased online at Discovery Times Square’s official website.
