Corn Maze

Enjoy the tastes of fall at Fort Ticonderoga and the King’s Garden of Vermont as they celebrate their annual Heritage Harvest Festival on September 28, 2013 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

This event is one the entire family will enjoy. Set with the King’s Garden’s floral scenery as a backdrop for the festival’s harvest market and games, this event offers a nice variety of fall fun and food.

Nestled among the heirloom apple orchard of the King’s Garden, visitors will find local Adirondack and Vermont farm stands offering a nice selection of fall fruits and vegetables, but at the center of the fun are the corn mazes.

Corn Maze

Fort Ticonderoga’s Heroic Corn Maze

The festival offers family fun in the form of a six-acre corn maze with the unique landscape of Lake Champlain and the epic history of Ticonderoga as a backdrop. Visitors find clues among the towering stalks.

These clues are connected with the Fort’s history as people seek to find their way through the winding paths of the maze. It’s filled with challenges and even offers special nighttime events. The Heroic Maze is challenging but does allow visitors to exit quickly if the need arises.

Kiddie Maze

This year’s festival has added a new Kiddie Maze designed specifically for kids up to the age of 4 years (with adult supervision). This maze still has all kinds of twists and turns but no dead ends.

Archeology Quest in the Corn

The Archeology Quest in the Corn is a scavenger hunt that will entertain all ages. Within the maze, people will find 8 hidden stations which represent an artifact. Players collect a stamp from each station to prove they discovered it.

This event takes perseverance and deduction to find all the objects.

Corn Maze at Night

Maze by Moonlight

This maze experience takes place at night using a flashlight as a guide under the light of the full moon. Even with all that light, the mysteries of the night surround you as you search for the hidden stations in the maze.

Family Costume Parade & Corn Maze Candy Quest

For those who enjoy dressing up, this event is a blast. The whole family gets to dress up and take part in the colorful costume parade, plus search for treats hidden within the maze. This is not a scary event and perfect for everyone.

The festival offers plenty of other family friendly activities like horse drawn wagon rides, pony rides, a petting zoo and more. Many activities carry on into October.
