Prize Awaiting the GateKeeper’s One Millionth Rider

July 17, 2013 by

GatekeeperCedar Park may be one of the oldest amusement parks, but it is still known as the “Best Amusement Park in the World.” This year, they are enjoying record numbers with the addition of their newest ride, the GateKeeper. It’s the tallest, fastest and longest wing roller coaster in the world!

The ride was introduced this Spring and the park is already approaching their millionth GateKeeper rider, and with that in mind they are offering a prize for that unsuspecting individual.

About the GateKeeper

If you love roller coasters, the GateKeeper climbs 170 feet and performs a wing-over drop maneuver that sends riders on a 2-minute, 20-second adrenaline rush!

It’s the world’s tallest and fasted wing rider coaster. You’ll feel like you’re flying through acrobatic turns and rolls as the GateKeeper coasts above the park’s main entrance and threads through keyholes built into looming towers that greet visitors when they enter the park.

The GateKeeper is the longest wing coaster in the world (4,164 feet) and Cedar Park’s 16th roller coaster.

Prize Awaiting Millionth Rider

This steel beast was introduced to the park visitors this past May and has been a hit. On the first day, riders waited for as long as 4 hours for a turn to tame the beast. Now the ride is about to celebrate its millionth rider, and Cedar Point has a prize waiting for the rider who is lucky enough to tame the beast at that time.

The prize awaiting that lucky rider includes a $500 shopping spree in the GateKeeper gift shop and a VIP tour for the winner and 5 friends. The tour provides a look at places in the park not  normally accessible to the public and the winner and friends will be given fast lane passes that allow them to skip the line at GateKeeper all summer long.
