Sentosa Island in Singapore offers a brand new destination ideal for kids. The Resorts World Sentosa officially held its grand opening on December 7, 2012.
The indoor theme park has been in operation since 2010, but the completion of the resorts last major attraction, the Marine Life Park, marked the completion of the park.
The Marine Life Park
The Marine Life Park is the latest addition to Resorts World Sentosa and is the largest in the world. It houses two attractions: the SEA Aquarium and the Adventure Cove Waterpark.
Exhibits in the aquarium are designed to educate while having fun. Visitors follow a walkway on an underwater journey that opens a portal to view and learn about more than 800 species of marine life from the seas of Southeast Asia through the Arabian Gulf. The journey concludes in an Open Ocean gallery.
Adventure Cove Waterpark
The Adventure Cove Waterpark is not what most people expect. It offers traditional outdoor water slides and pools, but this waterpark also features thrill rides for kids and adults to enjoy.
Attractions include things like the Riptide Rocket, a hydro-magnetic roller-coaster on water, the Rainbow Reef where visitors actually get to snorkel above colorful reefs and swim with friendly tropical fish, and the interactive Ray Bay where guests get the opportunity to interact with rays.
Universal Studios Singapore
For adrenaline junkies looking for more thrills, Universal Studios Singapore features 24 rides including the tallest “dueling” coasters. The theme park offers attractions throughout seven themed zones and has new attractions like the Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase in the works.
Fun for the Entire Family
