Lugging your kids’ pillows when you travel can be cumbersome and take up valuable space. Then there is the risk of leaving them behind when you check out, too.

Consider leaving your bed pillows home. Hotels provide pillows-o-plenty, and using a travel pillow for kids in the car or plane takes up less space and supports the head and neck while keeping them buckled in.

Travel Pillows for the Car Seat

Travel Friends Pillows are designed for kids still in car seats and double as an ideal pillow for in the stroller. They are created to support the child’s head and neck with cushy sides that are made thicker in the front to prevent little noggins from dropping forward when sleeping.

The Travel Friends Pillow is available in three different sizes, each appropriate for 0-12 months, 1-4 years, and the largest for 4-8 year-olds. The two larger sizes have magnetic closures at the front for added support. These pillows are machine washable and can be added to a quick load of laundry for a fresh clean pillow.

Buckyroo Travel Pillows for 3 and Up

Buckyroo makes a travel pillow for kids ages three and up. These pillows also work well for adults. Buckyroo pillows are made from eco-friendly materials including millet hulls and a sustainable bamboo blended fabric. They come in a number of colors so it is easy for the kids to identify which pillow is theirs without squabbles.

Seat Belt Pillow

For older kids (3 and up), or even yourself, look for seat belt pillows. These pillows slip around the seat belt and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The Snoozer seat belt pillow is a cushy choice. It has firm padding and a removable cover for easy washing. It is made to wrap around the seat belt and can also be used with backless booster seats.

Traveling can disrupt a child’s schedule, but providing a travel pillow may help them fall asleep when nap time arrives. When your kids get the sleep they need, it makes for a more relaxed and enjoyable trip for the entire family.

Having the seat belt pillow in the car would be handy for longer trips, and for when someone falls asleep unexpectedly.
