February 5, 2014 by

lib bell

This icon of freedom is visited by thousands of tourists every year. Freedom is felt by every individual, in some unique way or another. This bell’s story shares the history of the liberty and freedom we all share.

The Liberty Bell itself is housed in a glass case in the old city streets of Philadelphia. Visitor’s can see it’s 2,000 lb cast and large crack for free daily from 9am-5pm.

Several video presentations and bell exhibits can be explored when visiting the Liberty Bell Center, while the little one’s can enjoy Junior Ranger Programs and Faces of Change Trading Card centers.

For a $5 entry fee, you can also visit the Benjamin Franklin Museum next door or take a free tour of Independence Hall.

The National Historical Park has much to share. Exhibitions are geared for all ages, and family guides are available for learning with smaller guests.

Spend an afternoon in Philadelphia tracing the steps of the founders of our Constitution, the travels of the Liberty Bells, and discovering the framework of our government.
