Stay Here: La Giolitta Bed and Breakfast

April 7, 2013 by

Nestled on a quiet, almost hidden street of Barolo, Italy is La Giolitta. It’s a family owned bed and breakfast, and after you stay here, you’ll feel like part of the family.

There are just 3 rooms to choose from, each offering a very unique atmosphere. Try the Vine room for a romantically rustic getaway . If you can get yourself out of your comfy bed, enjoy a morning tea on your private patio with stunning views of the vineyards.

Breakfast is equally unique. You can have an easy, light breakfast with the typical yogurts and cereals, or you can try out some local meats, cheeses and fresh baked pastries with homemade jams, while Daniella (owner) cooks up some eggs for you.

Daniella is very knowledgeable about the area; she grew up here, just down the street. She’s more than happy to help you plan your day out in the vines.

If you prefer the excitement of navigating wine country on your own, you can use the lounging room, with free Internet access and several books on the region to set up your day.

High season in Italy’s wine country is April – October. The grapes are harvested in September and October. A stay a La Giolitta during high season is 75-85€ per night.
